June Is Busting Out All Over

Family,

I see that our family blog continues to be very underutilized. I even checked the recipes category and found only ONE recipe. I can’t believe this family has ONLY ONE recipe it wants to share as I often hear various members of the family calling each other to get that family recipe they have either lost or misplaced. Surely we can all do better.

Well, June is here which means we are fast approaching the halfway point of 2005–unbelievable! It also means that another summer is here and everyone will be up to their favorite summertime activities–trying to stay in air conditioned environs as much as possible and, when that is not possible, always walking and working in the shade. Haiti is an exception as it is always summer there.

I, of course, will continue to play tennis as much as I am physically able, walk my four miles every week day, maintain the yard, watch sports on TV, and just generally “piddle” about. I will also be very interested in how my grandson is doing as he moves forward in life. I will never be able to hear too much about what Xander is up to. As for the rest of you, I’m also interested in hearing what you are up to but, in all truth, you are second on the list behind Xander.

So with summer activities on the horizon for everyone let’s all make at least one posting each to the family blog this summer season–a recipe, a poem, a picture, a short essay, an amusing story, a joke, an interesting medical or scientific discovery, a good urban myth, an interesting discussion on politics, religion, morality, social security, medicare, medicaid, raising children, etc., etc.

I look forward to reading all of your fascinating postings.

Adrian
