Valentines Day

Happy valentines day! To be truthful, I was never one to celebrate valentines day. Cori, however, has deep memories of valentines as a child. And now that I have a child, it is hard to not love valentines day. Xander had to sign (actually draw) on cards for his preschool classmates. He actually told a story for each and every card with a "special" picture on each one.

We toured J.J. Hill Montessori today and we need to go back – you can not see how a school works on valentines day. The teachers even said that valentines day is huge with the kids and it makes for a very non-typical day. For those of you in the family that do not have children (or they are still quite young) will have a hard time understanding the responsibility you feel in choosing a school – you can’t just look on consumer reports and find the best one, you have to find the one that is right for your child – in this case Xander.

Again, Happy Valentines day and we love and miss all of you 🙂

One response to “Valentines Day”

  1. I’m surprised that Cori has such strong feelings about Valentine’s Day as I, like Mike, was never one to get too much into the celebration as I’ve always considered it somewhat of a “fake” celebration day created by the commercial business interests in this country. However, it is wonderful to see Xander having so much fun doing his “Valentines”. Great video! Thanks for sharing.————Adrian (Papi)
